With the holidays approaching it’s important to find ways to stay safe and enjoy yourself. It’s been a difficult year for many, but that doesn’t mean that this holiday season has to be!

Make Sure To Wash Your Hands

It’s flu season and with COVID still rampant in many parts of the world, you need to remember to wash your hands. Do this regularly and for at least twenty seconds each time you wash. There are many dirty surfaces that we touch regularly. It’s important for the safety of you and your family to ensure that you’re washing your hands each time you come into contact with these surfaces. 

Nothing’s worse than a holiday season with family while feeling under the weather. This time only comes around once a year, so it’s important to make sure that you get to maximize your enjoyment by feeling like your best self. 

Take A Break And Find Time To Relax 

Take time during this holiday season to unwind. The holidays can get hectic but you need to remember to take some time for yourself. Don’t keep everything inside. If you need to talk to someone then you should do it. 

If you’ve been having a difficult time catching up with your sleep, take the time to do that too. It’s important to find time for yourself and unwind. It’s been a difficult year. Get support where you need it, get plenty of sleep, and make sure that you’re focusing on you. 

Make Sure To Prepare Your Food Properly

There are a few things to remember when it comes to preparing your food this holiday season. It’s important to ensure that each surface is properly washed and that you avoid any cross-contamination. Keep the germs away from you and your food. 

When using the oven make sure that your food is cooking at the right temperature for the right amount of time. The same goes for foods that need to be refrigerated. Don’t leave them out at room temperature. Make sure that you’re refrigerating your foods properly. This will help you avoid any unnecessary sickness. 

Stay Healthy And Active

It’s important to remember to eat healthily and be active. Try to get as many nutrients that you can from fruits and vegetables. This will help you feel better and lower your chances of getting diseases caused by malnutrition. 

Try to cut back on snack foods that are high in salts, fats, and sugar. If you’re going to snack, you should do it with foods that are high in protein and nutrients. You can find delicious foods that are good for you. 

Remember to find someday time during the week to be active. It’s recommended that you find at least a couple of hours a week to exercise. This could be weight lifting, jogging, or simply walking. Just make sure to find some time during the day to work out and get some fresh air.
